What have we got to lose?

The new set from MTG 'Theros' will be released on the 27th September and hopefully you will all be attending a prerelease event next weekend. This also means that the cards from the Innistrad block and M13 will be rotating out of standard. With this in mind I thought I would take a look at some of the great cards that standard play will be losing...

Thundermaw has to be top of my list - one of the truely great dragons to come out for a while! With Sublime Archangel being my second choice! I am sure however that many of you would argue that Thragtusk, Auger of Bolas, Rancor or even Nighthawk are the best of M13!

As for the Innistrad block there are quite a few great cards that I am sure many of you will miss...

Avacyn my personal favourite and Griselbrand may not have seen the most play but are certainly characters that will not be forgotten. Then of course there is the anti control land that I am sure 'blue' players will not miss ...

... but what is you favourite card of the block? Could it be Geist of Saint Traft, Restoration Angel, Cloud Shift, Thalia, Wolfir Avenger, Entreat of Angels, Zealous Conscripts, Wolfir Silverheart, Silverblade Paladin, Sigarda, Tamiyo, Lingering Souls, Sorin, Thought Scour, Faithless Looting, Gravecrawler, Strangleroot Geist, Olivia, Tragic Slip, Snapcaster, Garruk or countless other great cards?

This Friday we will be holding two FNM events one will be a draft and the other will be standard - why not build something different that gets the best from these cards before they go!
